Obituary

Akron

Thomas Setzer, 59, passed away January 18, 2022. He was born in Akron March 14, 1962.

A lifetime area resident, he worked at his family's business, Sam Winer Motors, for over 38 years. Tom was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting. He was a certified instructor and truly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with everyone. He was a member of the Zeppelin Rifle Club and the Pro Armament Rifle Club for many years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sonia; son Joseph Zetzer; daughter Racheal Zetzer; grandchildren Hunter, Faith, Caleb, Arabella, Jameson and Giovanni; parents Sidney and Shirley Zetzer; siblings Susan Zetzer, Twin Brother Robert Zetzer, Dr. Marlene (Dr.Bill) Shivers; nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law Michael (Holly) Kemp and Allen (Beverly) Kemp and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rabbi Jeremy Lipton will conduct funeral service Friday at 11 am at Gordon Memorial Home. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Flushing, Ohio. Memorials may be made to The Lupus Foundation or The Kidney Foundation.
