Robert B. Kaufman
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our father, grandfather and brother Robert B. Kaufman.
Robert was born on February 1st, 1947 and passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2023.
He is survived by his daughter Betsy (Steven), son Brett (Katie) and grandchildren, Tyler, Sadie, Colby, Dylan, Grant and Ian, and sister Cheryl Kaufman. He is the son of the late Manual and Faye Kaufman.
Bob spent his early years between Miami and Akron enjoying his family and friends. He was a proud graduate of Firestone High School and the University of Miami, Fl. His career started in his family business, Alside and he later became an entrepreneur with the founding of Window World. He loved to travel, sit in the sun on a beach somewhere beautiful and enjoyed all the finer things in life. He was a scratch golfer, pitched a little league no hitter, a high school soccer star, and overall great athlete. He especially loved all things Miami and Cleveland Sports. He loved to read fictional novels, have a cocktail and watch a romantic movie. He spent his final months connecting with and surrounded by family that loved him. He now rests in peace and may he be blessed by G-d.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00 am graveside at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 West Market Street in Akron. The family will have a private family lunch immediately following the service. The Kaufman Family will be sitting shiva in Columbus at the Kaufman Home on Friday, November 24th from 2-5pm.
