Lillian “Sib” Mirman, 104, passed away on November 7, 2022. She was born in Akron’s Peoples Hospital, during the Spanish Flu Pandemic on October 19, 1918. She was the daughter of Abraham and Sadie Sparber, sister to Louis and Frances and devoted wife to Bob, all of blessed memory.
She was a loving and loyal mom to Judy Lorber (Ted,OBM) and Kenny (Marlene), a doting Bubby to Kevin (Elizabeth), Jason (Molly), Jesse, Cody and Super Bubby to Olivia, Ava, Lyla and Theo. She was Aunt Lil to some and Aunt Sib to others and a friend to everyone. Sib was the last surviving member of the Laicos and Tenner’s Clubs.
The end of a glorious era.
The family extends sincere thanks to caregivers, Taunia, Amy, Nancy and her dedicated friend, Doris. A graveside service will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, officiated by Rabbi Joshua Brown at Noon, on Wednesday November 9th.
Donations in her memory can be made to The Mirman Holiday Music Fund at Temple Israel in Akron, your local Food Bank or The Humane Society.
