Judith Oestreicher Obituary

Judith Oestreicher, 84, passed away on December 24, 2022 after a battle with cancer, in the loving care of her family.

Born in Cleveland, she spent virtually her whole life in Akron, graduated from Buchtel High School and attended Ohio State.

Judi was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, to whom family was everything. She was a gourmet cook, an expert knitter and owned and operated Three Friends Antiques. She and her husband of 66 years, Gene, traveled the country, selling at antique shows ranging from Maine to Georgia.

With children and grandchildren excelling in athletics, she became an ardent supporter and fierce fan, attending hundreds of baseball, basketball and volleyball games, swim meets, tennis matches and many Akron U. and Cleveland Cavaliers basketball games. Always caring about others, she volunteered at Children's Hospital and supported numerous charitable organizations.

Judi is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gene, son Michael, daughter Lauren (Steve) Schott, son Robert (Judy) of Shirley, Massachusetts, 5 grandchildren Jessica (Garrett) Eggers, Allyson (Todd) Colston of Denver, Colorado and Olivia, Ashleigh and Sam Oestreicher all of Shirley, Massachusetts, as well as 10 granddogs.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29th at 11 AM at the home of daughter Lauren and Steve Schott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Global Lime Alliance, 1290 E. Main St., 3rd Floor, Stamford, CT 06902
