AKRON - Charles (Chuck( Joel Landau, 93, passed away September 12, 2021. Charles was born July 28, 1928 in Belaire, Ohio to the late Philip and Florence Landau.
Charles proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and retired from the TV and electronics repair business. He was a longtime member of Anshe Sfard Synagogue, where he loved to visit and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his wife Arlene and daughter Paulette, he was the beloved father of Michael (Tammy) Landau, Elizabeth Hyder, James (Brenda) Landau and David (Toni) Landau; beloved grandfather of Aubree and Chase, Jessica (Alex) and Codi (Tara), Brian and Kristine; beloved great-grandfather of Julian, Violet, Ashton and Jaxon and the beloved brother of Estabelle.
Rabbi Moshe Sasonkin will conduct graveside service Tuesday, September 14 at 3 PM at Anshe Sfard Cemetery, 310 Swartz Road in Akron. Shiva will take place at the Hyder residence immediately following the graveside service until 7 PM at 2825 Stratford Circle in Akron. Memorials may be made to Anshe Sfard Synagogue, 646 N. Revere Road, Akron, OH 44333.
