Caryn Olczyk Obituary
Caryn Renée Olczyk, mother of David Stock, passed away on June 21, 2022. She was born on November 22, 1954.
Caryn was a proud native of Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood and a graduate of both Northwestern University and National Louis University. She had a passion for educating others, sharing her love with animals, her Jewish identity and fighting for women's rights. She loved folk music, knitting and reading. She was a loving wife, sister, friend, mother and babute (grandmother).
Caryn was preceded in death by her parents John and Alice Olczyk, her first husband Michael Stock and her sister Susan Olczyk. She is survived by her husband Sheldon Fogel, brother Peter Olczyk, sister Christine (Rich) Lemay, son David (Molly) Stock, grandson Benjamin Stock and her nieces and nephews.
On Thursday, June 23, a funeral will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery at 1:00 pm and shivah will be held at the Stock home at 5:00 – 7:00 PM with Minyan beginning at 6:00 PM. Family and friends may also attend the memorial service via Zoom, please contact Gordon Memorial Home for the link. Kaddish will be said during Minyan Services over the coming week as follows:

Saturday 6/25 at 9:15 am at Beth El
Sunday 6/27 at 8:30 am at Beth El
Monday 6/28 at 7:00 pm at the Stock Home
