Arthur Dean Schreiber

September 25, 1950 ~ August 13, 2023 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Obituary

Arthur Dean Schreiber was born on September 25th, 1950 and passed away in his sleep in the early morning of August 13, 2023. He was 72.

Preceded in death is his devoted wife Sandra Schreiber; dearest parents, Irving & Esther Schreiber, and beloved sister Sandra Blevins.

He was born in Akron and graduated from Copley High School in ‘68. Growing up he was very athletic and loved Basketball, Football, and set a state record in Track & Field. In his adult years he was a dedicated worker for Akron Beacon Journal and Dial America until he was forced to retire due to the health challenges he faced. He lived to make people laugh with his jokes and had the ability to spark a smile in anyone he connected with.

Artie leaves behind both sons, Shayne and Ryan Schreiber; nephew, Jeremy Blevins; cousin Avi Greenbaum. He will also be missed by his beloved uncle and extended family in Canada. Artie was always a kind soul, giving back to many charities, and an active member within the synagogue. He loved helping others out whenever possible. He spent his last few years under the care of Concordia at Sumner in Copley. We appreciate those who cared and looked out for him when needed.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Gordon Memorial Home to help with funeral and final expenses. Graveside service will be held at Anshe Sfard Cemetery, 310 Swartz Rd. in Akron, Monday Aug. 14 at 11am.
