Charlotte D. Schwartz (Geller), 81, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Akron, Ohio to the late Louis and Lillian (Dorman) Geller, Charlotte graduated from Buchtel High School in 1961 and attended the Ohio State University. She later worked as a bookkeeper and “girl Friday” at her father’s car dealership, Geller
Mercedes and Toyota.
She met her future husband, Bernard “Bud” Schwartz, on a blind date in 1964. They were married in 1965 and raised their family in West Akron. Charlotte and Bud were rarely apart until his death in 2021.
Charlotte was a beloved wife, a proud homemaker, and a selfless caregiver. She was an avid reader who loved puzzles and card games. She was deeply committed to her family and community; she enjoyed volunteering for Na’Amat Pioneer Women and was a lifelong member
of Beth El Congregation.
In addition to her parents and husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by brother, Emory Geller. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda Schwartz (Steven Mastrantonio) and Joel Schwartz; grandchildren, Michael, Natalie, and Olivia Mastrantonio; sister, Marlene Marston; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna Geller, Renee Davidson, Steven and Arlene Schwartz, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 5 th at Beth El Congregation, 750 White Pond Drive, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
